Spring at Neusiedler See 2013

Saturday, April 20, 2013

In attached gallery you will find a few pictures from our spring trip to the National Park Neusiedler See – Seewinkel in Austria. Our trip was focused mainly on birds, which you can not overlook. Thanks to the National Park protection, they are not shy and therefore you can observe from a short  distance. We visited several different localities – the lake side with reed stands, wet meadows, saline sites, lakes or sand tip near the lake – Sandeck. A visit of Pannonian Bird Experience, the Central European bird fair, were you can find everything related to birdwatching in our region, was a part of our program as well.

We recommend this trip not only to experienced birdwatchers, who will discover a few rare species here, but also to beginners, who will surely be captured by the overall landscape around the lake or many interesting animal species, that can be observed in the wild from a short distance.
